Edie Woods — Owner & Founder
“A lifelong dream, stitched into reality.”
Edie has had a needle and thread in her hands since she was a little girl. From sewing clothing for her kids to creating for others, her passion for fabric and craftsmanship has never wavered. For years she carried a dream close to her heart — owning a quilt shop where creativity, community, and beautiful fabric could all come together. Today, that dream is the Sewing Shack of Yuma, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Nancy — Long-Arm Quilting Artist

Nancy’s creative journey began with bags — stunning, beautifully crafted travel bags that turned heads wherever they went. Then one day she made a quilt, declared “never again!”... and the rest is history.
After helping out at the Sewing Shack from time to time, Nancy discovered the long-arm quilting machine and it was love at first stitch. What started as an opportunity became a true calling. Her attention to detail is flawless, her stitching is nothing short of beautiful, and her warm smile and exceptional customer service keep customers coming back again and again.
In fact, customers trust Nancy so completely that they often just say “pick a stitch and make it beautiful” — and she never disappoints.

Theresa — Fabric & Customer Care
“She came in for fabric and never really left.”
Theresa’s story at the Sewing Shack started the same way many great things do — she walked in to buy fabric and just kept coming back. She’ll tell you she had never quilted before, but the moment she started picking up instructions, everyone began to quietly question that claim. She caught on so fast it was almost suspicious!
One day Theresa mentioned she’d love to help out in the shop “just now and then” — and the rest, as they say, is history. She took to everything overnight, and customers fell in love with her warm, helpful nature and outstanding customer service just as quickly as she fell in love with fabric.
The Sewing Shack wouldn’t be the same without her.
